1. How to delete your account
You can ask us to delete your KidzCloud account and the personal data linked to it at any time. Deleting your account is free.
- Email support@kidzcloud.in from your registered email address with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- Include your full name, username, registered mobile number and account type (student, parent or tutor).
- We will verify that the request comes from the account holder, usually with a one-time password to your registered mobile number.
- We confirm when the deletion is complete.
2. Deleting a child’s account
A child’s account can be deleted at the request of the child’s linked parent or lawful guardian. Send the request from the parent’s registered email address and include the child’s name and username. A parent can also withdraw consent for their child’s data at any time, which has the same effect.
3. What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, photo, bio, date of birth, contact details and preferences.
- Your posts, comments, talent showcases and other content you created.
- Learning activity: course progress, quiz results, badges and certificates.
- Parent–child links and notification tokens.
- Verification details, and for tutors, profile documents and bank details (once any pending payouts are settled).
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Payment and invoice records — kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws (generally 8 years), then deleted.
- Records of safety reports and enforcement actions — kept where needed to protect children, prevent banned users from returning, or meet legal obligations.
- Information we must keep by law or for an ongoing legal matter or investigation.
- Anonymised, aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.
5. How long it takes
We act on verified requests within 30 days. Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten as part of our regular backup cycle within a further 30 days. Once deleted, an account cannot be recovered.
6. Deleting some data without closing your account
You can edit or remove profile details and delete your own posts in the app. To ask us to delete other specific data while keeping your account, email support@kidzcloud.in with the subject “Data deletion request”. See your rights in our Privacy Policy.
